these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the
website operated by hirecarsinspain.com.
By using or
accessing our website, you agree to be legally bound
by these Terms and Conditions of use as they apply to
your use of or access to our website.
If you do not
wish to be bound by these Terms and Conditions then
you may not use our website.
Our website is a
place for you to select and order car hire in Spain.
Details of the car hire and the supplier are shown on
our website next to each product. Car hire is subject
to the Terms and Conditions imposed by the supplier.
In the event of any conflict between the Terms and
Conditions of sale of the supplier and these Terms
and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions of the
supplier shall prevail.
By using this
site you acknowledge the contract for sale and
purchase of the car hire in question is exclusively a
contract between yourself and the supplier of the car
hire.
You will be
subject to the specific terms of the supplier of car
hire set out below:

The insurance
does not cover tyres, wheels, lost keys, windscreens,
clutch, undercarriage and interior of the car. In
case of damage the hirer is liable for such
items.

between 35.00 € and 100.00 € depending on
the model supplied, cars must be returned empty as no
refund is given. Bookings of 3 days or less: Goldcar
reimburse the client´s credit card with the
equivalent value of the fuel left in the
tank.
Baby Seats
(€4.50 Euros per day with a maximum of €54

One-Way Rentals

Goldcar offer a
service of Priority Check-in Service/Express Service
at airport locations. Customers, who purchase this
service, will have the advantage of not having to
wait to pick up the car. We will have a priority
check-in desk for immediate pick up. The cost of
this service will be €15 per booking. There is
limited availability so if required please reserve at
the time of booking or e-mail us. THIS CANNOT BE DONE
ON ARRIVAL
Out of hours
from 23:00 to 07:00 is on request and additional
charge of €35 Euros per car. (NOT AVAILABLE AT
BARCELONA AIRPORT)
FLIGHT NUMBERS
ESSENTIAL
Customers
wishing to take their car into France or Andorra
(only for clients arriving at Barcelona, Gerona or
Reus Airports) there is a charge of €8 Euros per
day with a minimum €20 Euros and a maximum
of €60 Euros
Customers
wishing to take their car into Portugal or Gibraltar
(only for clients arriving at Almeria, Malaga, Jerez,
or Seville Airports) there is a charge of €8
Euros per day maximum of €50 Euros
Customers
wishing to take their car from one Canary Island to
another as long as the customer takes out the
additional insurance there is a charge of €8
Euros per day with a minimum €20 Euros and a
maximum of €60 Euros
The cost of GPS
is €8 Euros per day with a maximum of €80
Euros a €150 Euros deposit is required. The GPS
is subject to availability but not available to
reserve in advance and not available for one-way
rentals.
Loss or damage
to car keys (replacement cost between 60 € and
100 € depending on model of vehicle).
Customers who
abandon Goldcar vehicles at any location other then
the location agreed upon on the rental agreement will
be responsible for the costs assumed by Goldcar
Rental for the transport of the vehicle to the agreed
upon drop-off location, as well as the corresponding
daily rental charges and €35 daily penalization
fee.
A minimum charge
of €40 Euros will be applied if the returned car
requires extra special cleaning
In the event the
vehicle is returned, without proper extension, later
than the agreed rental drop-off time stated in the
contract, the insurance will no longer be valid and
the customer will be responsible for paying a
€35 per day late fee. In addition to the
corresponding late fees, the customer must also pay
the daily rental rate.
If a customer
returns the vehicle earlier then the agreed upon
drop-off date stated in the rental contract, Goldcar
will not refund the customer for any unused
days.
VAT at 18% is
included on all extras but this is subject to change
by the Spanish tax
authorities
Prices are
subject to change
Goldcar will
block an amount of 300€ on the
customer´s credit card. Please, take into
account that This block is NOT an Excess amount and
this will only be applicable to all the locations
where Goldcar do NOT have Excess.Goldcar have made
this decision given the fact that many times
customers cause damages (damages not covered by the
CDW) to our vehicles and afterwards, it is almost
impossible to charge them the amount due as they do
not accept the responsibility of these
damages.
If the
customers purchase any of our additional insurances,
Goldcar will not block the 300€ on their
cards.
As you are aware, if
the clients uses a debit card they will have to take
our Relax Insurance or Super Relax Insurance.
The client will not have the option to
decline.
Therefore, in
this case, we will not block any amount on these
customers´ cards.
Requirements:
A valid credit
card will be required at car hire collection point.
Goldcar do accept debit cards but you must take out
the additional ‘Relax’
insurance.
Drivers must be
21 years of age and have held a valid driving license
for at least two years.
Drivers under 25
or who have held a licence for between 1 - 4 years,
€4 Euros extra per day up to a maximum of
€48 Euros per rental.
Customers who
have held a driving license for less than 4 years
will have to pay €4 Euros per day maximum of
€48 Euros.
Goldcar will
apply only one charge of €4 per day with a
maximum of €48 if the customer is under the age
of 25 and has had a driving license less than 4
years.
Groups may
contain similar models to those specified. No model
can be guaranteed in any group.

Vehicles
collected at Menorca or Ibiza offices also may travel
to other Balearic Islands as long as the customer
contracts the additional insurance for a daily fee of
8€ per day of the total rental period
with a minimum charge of 20€ and a
maximum charge of 60€. If the additional
insurance is taken out by the customer then the basic
insurance included in every rental will only be valid
on the island where the vehicle was collected by the
customer.

In the event the
vehicle is returned, without proper extension, later
than the agreed rental drop-off time stated in the
contract, the insurance will no longer be valid and
the customer will be responsible for paying a
€35 per day late fee. In addition to the
corresponding late fees, the customer must also pay
the daily rental rate.
If a customer
returns the vehicle earlier then the agreed upon
drop-off date stated in the rental contract, Goldcar
will not refund the customer for any unused
days.
